While crossing the pedestrian crossing on bicycle, got fined for $1209 for using Phone while on bicycle. Even phone was used for less than 10 seconds but police officer was in bad mood and didn't listen any apologies. I accept the mistake but for someone who bought a bicycle for $120, fine of 1200 is way too much.
This amount is insane and a big burden for someone who is trying to save every 12 dollars. Anyone has faced the same issue? Any suggestions if the penalty can be reduced?
Not able to accept this, don't know what to do.
