Last night, I had a frustrating experience when two riders left their iPhones in my car.
I politely offered to return the phones to them, either by meeting up or by delivering the phones to their preferred location, provided they cover the travel fare. I agreed to cover the fare, and one of the riders came to collect his phone.
However, shortly after retrieving their phones, they both unjustly downgraded my rating from 5 stars to 1 star.
I can confirm that I hadn't driven for Uber this morning, and all my rides last night were completed without any issues. My rating dropped from 4.96 to 4.94 following this incident.
It's disheartening to notice how some riders' attitudes change immediately after getting their lost items back. This seems to be the case for at least half of the riders who have left belongings in my car. This experience has left me quite upset, and as a result, I've decided not to drive tonight.
